Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and performer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Then she appeared in numerous Broadway productions before she became the most famous on stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. In the same year, she recorded her first album of music It's the Time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the course of this film, she was joined the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next role that she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her work successfully between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters opposed to her image as being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she's also earned her name as an accomplished director on various well-known television shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever from then on.
